Youth Health Centre

Services for youth regarding addiction, mental health & sexual health are available to youth at PVEC. Services are offered through Addiction & Mental Health Services, South Shore Health. All services are free and confidential. 
Students may refer themselves by coming to the Youth Health Centre. Teachers & parents can also refer youth by contacting the PVEC Counseling Centre. The YHC is located in the Counselling Centre.

Semester 1 Report Cards

Semester 1  Report Cards will be distributed on Wednesday, February 10 in Homeroom following Period 1. 

Report Cards will only be available at this time on Wednesday for students. 
Any stduents who are absent on Feb. 10 may pick them up from the Counselling Centre starting Fri. Feb. 12, 2016.

PVEC School Advisory Council

PVEC SAC Information:

The SAC ideally consists of 4 parents, 3 students, 3 teachers, 2 support staff and 2 community members.  The principal is a non-voting, non-elected member. Members are elected for a two or three year term.  

SAC meets at least six times per year but generally on a monthly basis. The SAC provides input to principal, staff and school board regarding school policies and programs that affect students and staff.  They communicate with the groups they represent in order to articulate diverse views. They work as a team to represent the best interests of students.

Encounters With Canada


A one week program of citizenship and leadership for Canadian students from 14-17 years old.
One week visit to Ottawa with approximately 130 other students from all areas of Canada.
An opportunity to learn first-hand about Canada’s culture and most important institutions.
